Who Does
ROP Select-a-Term Help
AG ROP Select-a-Term® life insurance, you get all the flexibility and protection of our standard AG Select-a-Term life insurance. And on top of that, you can get your base premiums back (excludes premiums for riders) by surrendering the policy if the it remains in force through the end of the term. That’s right. Every penny of every premium comes back to you if the policy never terminates due to death. Which comes in handy for things like retirement, supplementing a college education, or medical bills.
And there’s so much flexibility. If you want, you can borrow against the cash that accumulates in your policy and still keep your term life insurance coverage.1 Even if you discontinue your policy after five years, you can get some of your money back. Should you ever stop making premium payments, your policy could automatically convert to paid-up coverage with a reduced death benefit. Your agent can customize your quote showing projected policy values each year.
Cindy, a single mother whose daughter Nora is destined for law school, had the foresight to purchase AG ROP Select-a-Term shortly after Nora was born. So if anything happens to Cindy, Nora’s education is covered by the death benefit. If Cindy outlives the term of the policy, she receives a cash payment equal to all the premiums they’ve paid.2 Either way, Cindy has the financial resources to help her daughter when she needs it most.*

1 The loan interest rate is 8.00% per year, payable in arrears. Consult with your tax professional to determine if transaction is a taxable event.
2 AG ROP Select-a-Term accumulates a cash value that starts no later than the fifth policy year. At the end of the level premium period, the cash value of the in-force policy equals the total of cumulative premiums paid, less any charges for substandard ratings and riders. If the client surrenders the policy, this amount is paid out, minus any outstanding loan balance. The cash surrender value payment does not take into account the time value of money. Alternatively, the same amount may be rolled into a permanent plan of insurance should the insured be eligible for and choose to exercise the conversion option. Coverage may also be continued beyond the level premium period by payment of increasing annual premiums, and the policy will continue to build cash value until the policy anniversary nearest the insured's 95th birthday when the cash value will equal the face amount of the policy. The cash value, minus any outstanding loan balance, will then be distributed as the endowment benefit if the policy is inforce and the insured is then living. The cash value and endowment benefit are subject to all terms and conditions detailed in the policy.
3 Convertibility feature extends to the earlier of the end of the level premium period or the insured’s attainment of age 70.
4 Available if the insured is diagnosed by a qualified physician as having 12 months or fewer to live; benefit maximum is the lesser of $250,000 or 50 percent of the policy benefit.
